About Our Riding Instructors

Campbell Taylor

Campbell has worked with horses for over 20 years and has successfully run his own livery yard near Edinburgh for 9 years as well as re-backing horses and correcting problem horses. Campbell has taken part in trek competitions and enjoys a quiet ride out with his children. He can usually be spotted driving his tractor round the yard and maintaining the fields.

Louise Drysdale

Louise is Campbell’s partner, who has 11 years experience of working with horses. Louise has worked mainly in riding schools taking treks out and on livery yards. She studied both the NC and HNC Equine courses at Oatridge College. Louise recently bought a youngster which she is enjoying bringing on herself to break in and compete. She enjoys finding horses for the trekking centre and ensuring the horses have a wide range of experience in different disciplines such as showjumping, trek, dressage and cross country. Louise also enjoys exploring the scenic countryside surrounding the yard on horseback with the dogs, common riding and cross country.

Michelle Kerr

Michelle has worked at our livery yard for 4 years and has 15 years experience working with horses. She studied Classical Horsemastership at Yardah Stud in Australia and her HNC Equine Studies at Oatridge. She breaks in and schools the young horses we have and has a lot of patience and expertise in this area. In 2012 Michelle was lucky enough to gain 2 weeks work experience at Mary Kings yard in Devon. This experience allowed Michelle to gain an insight into how an international eventing yard is run and methods used to train the horses. In her spare time Michelle takes some of our horses to competitions and has competed in dressage, show jumping and cross country.
